Shop of the Open Heart
Whether it’s holiday season or any other gift environment, imagine a kind of party gift giving party like this: Instead of buying gifts and bringing them for specific people, this party asks guests to bring something meaningful –1 or 2 cherished items (perhaps homemade) or a service to offer (described on a piece of paper.)
Those gifts are then showcased on a table where guests can take time during the party to “window shop” and select a gift that interests them. The “shopper” then goes to the giver to hear the story behind the gift–what makes it so meaningful to them.
It’s called the Shop of the Open Heart and this fun environment will be coordinated by Marie Goodwin this year.
